stable, or wheezy           - the released Debian 7.1
oldstable-proposed-updates  - possible updates to Debian 6.0
stable-proposed-updates     - possible updates to Debian 7
squeeze-updates             - important updates to Debian 6.0
wheezy-updates              - important updates to Debian 7
testing, or jessie          - the development version of the next release
unstable, or sid            - untested candidate packages for future releases
experimental, or rc-buggy   - experimental packages to be used on top of unstable
