InterNews 2.1b4 Release Notes

This is an interim version that is not quite ready for prime time, but we need to get it out there for people who are using news servers that carry more than 32000 newsgroups.

The main changes in this version are to support more than 32000 newsgroups and to gain the Good Netkeeping Seal of Approval. What the latter means is that you will see some changes in the user interface, particularly for composing articles. There are some internal changes to the formatting of articles that you will not see. This version is stil a couple of steps shy of getting the seal, but we are closing in on it.

This version has not been tested by anyone, really, so use it at your own risk. It will create a subscription file that is slightly different from what you have now and cannot be read by previous versions of InterNews. So be sure to save a copy in case this version breaks.

This version expires on 1/1/99.
