This was compiled without libao support, which apparently is still buggy.

To enable sound follow these steps:

1) [Tools] > [Preferences] > [Sounds]
2) Under "Sound Method" select "Command"
3) In "Sound command" enter: esdplay %s

NB the default sounds seems to be a bit on the quiet side, you may
want to find some alternatives.
