Focussed on Internet and Multimedia application:

More stuff: Abiword, Graveman, Gnome-Games, Tea Editor, Midnight Commander, Samba client, TightVNC ...
All the goodies from the Mandriva Control Center, including ndiswrapper, eagle-usb, speedtouch.

* New hardware detection, faster startup
* MDV installer (from ftp mirrors) included, you need a fast and reliable internet connection to use it.
* Easy graphical LiveUSB setup, boot your PC from your FlashDrive. Required: your BIOS has the option to boot from USB device; a 256 MB USB Stick/Pendrive/Flash Drive.
* bootproblems on newer DELL laptops fixed

English only version.

The code: installer (without livecd) will start a MDV installation from ftp/http.

Troubleshooting

If there are problems to boot into the GUI, at the first bootscreen hit F1, then type:
livecd init 3
Login as root, password is: root.
Type: XFdrake
Make your settings and save. Type: startx

This is a pre-release (my own fun-release) of the upcoming new MCNLive. Because the ftp mirrors of MDV 2006 are not yet up and running, the cooker sources are preconfigured. You can easily change these sources later in MCC. Or try cooker :-)
A second version with KDE will follow.
